Power supply directly from the motorcycle

The system is connected directly to the motorcycle battery via a dedicated cable.

• Best for frequent riders and daily or long-distance commuting.
• No autonomy limits as long as the motorcycle is running.
• Maximum heating power always available.
• Easy to use: get on the bike → plug in → get off → unplug.
• Possibility to power multiple heated elements at the same time (gloves, jacket, pants, socks) with the right cables.

Rechargeable battery power

Each piece or combination of pieces is powered by one or more batteries.

• Freedom of movement: no cable between you and the bike.
• Convenient for short trips, leisure, or mixed use (motorcycle, walking, outdoor work).
• You must remember to recharge the batteries.
• During very long rides or in extreme cold, autonomy can be limited depending on heat level and battery type.
• Depending on voltage (7.4V or 12V) and capacity (Ah), heat output and runtime vary.

In short: if you ride often and for long distances, powering from the bike is usually the best choice. If you want freedom of movement and occasional use, batteries are more practical.

Heating power and battery runtime table

Gloves are often the first heated item to choose because hands are the first to suffer from cold. This is also what we sell the most at Moto House.

Available power options

• Batteries inside the cuffs: each glove receives a dedicated battery, practical with no cable connected to the bike.
• Motorcycle cable power: gloves are powered via a wiring harness connected to the bike battery, perfect for frequent riders.
• Exception: some MACNA glove models are only designed for cable power. When this is the case, it is clearly mentioned on the Moto House product page.

Choosing batteries for gloves

Depending on the model, multiple battery types may be compatible:

• 7.4V 2.2Ah or 7.4V 3Ah batteries for a good balance of heat, weight and runtime.
• 12V 3Ah batteries for stronger heating, adapted to very cold conditions or for frequent long rides.

The compatible batteries (voltage, capacity, whether a kit is included or not) are indicated on each product page, with runtimes shown in the table in Step 1.

Connections according to MACNA diagram

• (1) EPG cable: connects heated gloves to a MACNA jacket equipped with EPG.
• (2) Extension cable: connects gloves to a jacket that does not have EPG.
• (4) Glove batteries: 7.4V or 12V depending on model, stored inside the cuffs.

In practice

• You ride mostly in winter, often and for long distances → choose gloves powered by bike or gloves with high capacity batteries.
• You ride occasionally / short trips → 7.4V 2.2Ah batteries are usually enough.

The heated jacket keeps the upper body warm. It is the second key element after gloves, especially for long rides in cold weather.

Battery power

The jacket can be used completely independently, without relying on the motorcycle.

• Choice between 7.4V 6Ah or 12V 6Ah batteries depending on model.
• The more powerful version ensures stronger heat output, especially in very low temperatures.
• Runtime depends on heat level and battery type. See runtime table in Step 1.

Motorcycle-powered cable

The jacket can also be connected directly to the bike battery via a dedicated power cable (not included unless stated).

• Ideal for frequent riders or long touring rides.
• Ensures consistent heating power without worrying about battery life.

Connection to gloves and pants

The jacket usually acts as the central hub of the heated outfit:

• The gloves can be plugged into the jacket using integrated internal wires exiting at the cuffs.
• The heated pants can also be connected to the jacket, creating a complete heating chain: gloves → jacket → pants.

• (5) Splitter cable: can split power to feed jacket and pants at the same time.

Heated pants complete the jacket to keep the legs warm. They are useful for frequent long rides or very cold conditions.

Power supply options

• Direct connection to the motorcycle via a battery cable (not included unless stated).
• Connection through the heated jacket which is itself powered by the bike or a high-capacity battery.
• Battery operation with the same choices as the jacket: 7.4V 6Ah or 12V 6Ah. Runtimes are shown in Step 1.

Common setups

• Gloves + Jacket + Pants powered by the bike using proper cables.
• Jacket + Pants powered by a single high-capacity battery system.

Pants also offer a connection point for heated socks, which plug into the bottom ends of the pants.

• (5) Splitter cable:
  • Splits bike power between pants + jacket.
  • Can also be used to share an internal battery between pants and jacket.

Heated socks are an optional complement to heated pants. They are less essential than gloves, jacket and pants, but extremely useful for riders who are sensitive to cold feet.

Connection principle

• Socks plug directly into the bottom of MACNA heated pants.
• If you use regular pants, an extension cable (2) allows connection to a high-capacity battery or to the motorcycle.
• You can also insert 7.4V 2.2Ah batteries directly inside the socks.

Diagram references

• (2) Extension cable: connects socks to an external battery if you don’t have MACNA heated pants.
• (4) Sock batteries: 7.4V 2.2Ah for standalone operation.

Profile 1: Frequent rider, winter, regular trips

• MACNA heated gloves
• MACNA heated jacket
• MACNA heated pants
• Optional: MACNA heated socks
• Main power: motorcycle battery connection + battery cable + splitter cable (5) to distribute power to jacket-gloves and pants-socks.
• Bonus: the Bluetooth battery placed off the bike keeps your individual temperature settings active for each accessory when you disconnect from the motorcycle. Note: this battery does not maintain the charge but keeps settings ready for your next ride.

Profile 2: Mixed use, short trips and leisure

• MACNA heated gloves with batteries (7.4V 2.2Ah, 7.4V 3Ah or 12V 3Ah depending on need). You can also plug the gloves into the jacket but this will reduce jacket battery runtime.
• MACNA heated jacket on battery (7.4V 6Ah or 12V 6Ah), usable also off the motorcycle.

Profile 3: Hands are priority, smaller budget

• MACNA heated gloves only
• Power options: cabled to motorcycle (battery cable as accessory) or 7.4V 2.2Ah batteries
